Listening In: How Radio Changed the Home

Friday 15th May, 14:00
Radio today evokes feelings of familiarity and comfort, background noise to ease the silence. Its early history, however, was far more exciting. Between 1922 and 1939, British life was transformed by what was known as the ‘Radio Craze’.

Join former BBC Radio producer Beaty Rubens to explore the radical impact of radio and its revolutionary effect on the private sphere.

This event is part of Firsts: London's Rare Book Fair, and will take place in the Talks Space on the top floor of Saatchi Gallery.
